Full Sail University (fullsail.edu), an award winning entertainment media institution near Orlando, FL, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Computer Animation Bachelor of Science Degree Program into a new online degree, beginning in June, 2009.
Students of the new 32-month Computer Animation Online Degree will be taking specialized courses that focus on the practical application of 3D computer graphics for the entertainment media industry, including such essentials as 3D Foundations, Model Creation, Animation Production, and Demo Reel Creation.
The program has been built on the foundation of Full Sail's on-campus Computer Animation Degree and includes an expanded curriculum. Online degree programs and courses are delivered over the Full Sail Online platform. Developed from the ground up, the secure web-based platform incorporates a variety of modern interactive multimedia technologies that are accessible 24 hours a day via the Internet, and has a goal of being the most people focused education experience on the web.
"Online courses allow students from around the world to participate in face-to-face interaction with instructors and fellow students, via the Internet, on Apple computers available through the Full Sail Launchbox program - which is an Apple MacBook Pro computer that serves as the student's personal work station throughout their education," says Pete Bandstra, Program Director for Computer Animation. "This allows Full Sail to deliver an innovative style of education to passionate students seeking creative careers in the entertainment and media industry."
